Headstones @ Sound Academy

Had the chance to shoot the Headstones reunion show at the Sound Academy on Saturday night February 5th, 2011 to a packed house of older but tougher die-hard fans wearing faded Headstones T-shirts they dusted off from the closet. Frontman Hugh Dillion who looked like Bruce Willis' younger bad-ass brother, was cleaned-up Hollywood style, large and in-charge of the night with more energy than a ball of fire as he welcomed his fans back as he spat, flipped middle fingers and asked where us fuckers had been all this fucking time and whether we were ready for some mother-fucking rock 'n' roll..

The Headstones kicked things off with "When Something Stands for Nothing," and fired through hits and deep cuts from every album. Travelling Wilburys  cover "Tweeter And The Monkey Man" led to a series of enthusiastically received songs like "Pinned You Down," "Digits," "Judy," and "Cut Me Up," which each prompted communal singing and stationary jumping.
